Posted 12-07-2007: The Seamless site and all other map services are available. Posted 6-26-2007: We are currently experiencing intermittent problems with downloads requested in BIL format. The problem is being looked into by our staff. Since the problem is intermittent, please try your request again if you experience a problem. A more long-term fix for the BIL format problem is currently in development. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience during this time. National Land Cover Dataset 2001 (NLCD2001)

The National Land Cover Dataset 2001 (NLCD2001) is now available for all of the conterminous United States for download. The three products available are Land Cover, Tree Canopy, and Imperviousness. Land Cover refers to the classification of the land using the land cover definitions mentioned previously. Imperviousness refers to impenetrable surfaces such as rooftops, roads, or parking lots. Tree canopy refers to a layer or multiple layers of branches and foliage at the top or crown of a forest's trees. Hurricane Katrina Data Access:

USGS EROS is supporting first responders and emergency services working in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. In cooperation with FEMA, EROS is the clearinghouse for all aerial, satellite and ground information on areas struck by Katrina.
